Question:

does the lemon law in mass apply to vehicles over 150000 miles, does the dealer have to give at least 30 days?

Best Answer:

No and no, unfortunately. Lemon Laws do not usually cover a car with that many miles. 30 days for what? If you mean "do I have a 30-day return period?" the answer is no. Once you've signed the contract and taken delivery, the car is yours.

In the United States, the lemon law applies to new vehicles only. Used vehicles are usually sold "As is - No warranty". Unless the dealer gave you a warranty in writing, any repairs are your responsibility. The dealer does not have to accept a return on a used vehicle. However, if you live in a country other than the United States, you may have different laws regarding used vehicles.

lemon law is only for new cars... some states allow for 24-48 return on used car purchases for any reason. I have actually done this ... the caveat to that is that I had my checks stopped before they could deposit them so they never actually had the money.

Lemon laws are for NEW cars. This is a ridiculous question. I'll let you in on something - there's no such thing as a lemon car. There are lemon people. A car is just big bunch of components working together. Each component has a failure rate, which is very, very ,very low. If the car has a failure that its people cannot fix, then the car has bad people. if the same component fails twice, then either people are not getting good components, or people are not working on the real problem. Either way, it's not the car's fault. Any time you have problems getting good service from a car, get better people, or become one yourself.
